Brushing teeth/gum?

One of my teeth (first or second premolar?) is hurting me when i brush my teeth. My teeth feels a lil higher in the front and everytime i brush my teeth when i hit the gum part in the front it feels like i%26#039;m hitting a nerve or something... it hurts... i dunno why.. i%26#039;m 18 years old btw, i think i had all my baby teeths out already =x

Its just the front of my tooth and the gum is a lil open/ seperated... i dunno how to explain it. You can%26#039;t notice it and its not a big deal but it hurts. I don%26#039;t even think i would of noticed it if not for it hurting when i brush my teeth.

Its in this area:

Is the gum going to grow back or something so it doesn%26#039;t hurt after a while? I think its because i brush my teeth 2 hard. Should i go see a dentist?

Brushing teeth/gum?
Yes, go see a dentist. Your gums could be receding a little, exposing a bit of the root, which makes it really sensitive to touch and/or cold and heat.

That said, it might just be that you have a little cut or a cold sore coming in. You will know if it clears up while you%26#039;re waiting for your dentist appointment.
Reply:For goodness sake, go see a dentist man!!
Reply:dont brush down on ur gums it will cause them to recede brush up lightly and the gum should grow back according to my aunt (shes a dental tech) and when u brush hard ur bending the bristles and not really cleaning your teeth very well b/c the bristles arent going on or in the crevaces of your teeth
Reply:I would most definitely recommend going to a dentist anytime you have a concern, it is always best to be safe than sorry. For now I would just recommend brushing lighter and use a antibacterial mouthwash to help keep the area clean, or else rinse with salt water...which is also suppost to be good for any sores on the mouths or gums. Goodluck!
